Getting an Interview.

Having a good CV is key to getting an interview. Does it reflect the nature of the vacancy you are applying for? Does it say enough about your experience without being too wordy? Does it have your full contact details?

When it comes to the interview, an employer will be able to tell if you are genuinely interested in their business or have the experience they need. Recruitment agencies can be of assistance with tips and background knowledge but do your own research. Ask yourself if this job is right for you?

Need a job?

Employers have a varying approach to recruitment, expectations and business dynamic. Experience is essential but for most employers; an empathy with the core values and the sector they work in is as important. Do your homework; research the employer, who's interviewing you, why do you want this role, make sure you have questions that inspire the interviewer and give you the answers to make your decision. Dress appropriately and ask questions.
