Fair Trade Shop Manager

Reference: 1720
Type: Retail
Location: Isle of Man
Salary: £ Commensurate with experience

Shakti Man is looking for a retail visionary to manage and develop the nicest fair-trade shop in the British Isles.

• Are you a retail professional with unlimited energy and a proven track record?
• Do you have a burning passion to make a difference?
• Would you relish the opportunity to bring your skills to the world of fair trade retail?
• Do you have the flexibility to put your all into an exciting, expanding business based in the beautiful Isle of Man?

If so, we’d love to hear from you. This is no ordinary opportunity, and ours is no ordinary store. As one of Britain’s largest fair trade shops, we are enjoying our sixth straight year of growth since opening. We have built an enviable reputation and an ever-growing army of loyal customers who love our inspired – and in many cases unique – ranges of fashion, jewellery, gifts and home wares.

We are now looking for a retail visionary who can put their own stamp on the business and take it forward. The successful applicant will be a people person with long standing retail management experience including budgeting and finance, seasonal buying, range planning, visual merchandising with display and team leadership, excellent sales and communication skills and an understanding of fair trade, development issues and social justice.

If all this inspires you, email us your CV with a covering letter for the attention of Leni Lewis.

‘The nicest fair trade shop in the British Isles’ What Green & Blacks co-founder Jo Fairley said when she visited us last year.
