Production Engineer - Tea Industry

Production Engineer – IMA C24/C27 trained/qualified

One of the UK's leading tea and herbal drink packaging companies is looking for a suitably qualified engineer with IMA C24/C27 machine experience.
This family owned business fills around 200 million bags of tea and herbal drinks a year at its plant based in southern England. Specialising in string, tagged and enveloped teabags, packed on Constanta machines and standard heat-seal teabags produced on the SIG and Ilapack machines; the company is committed to its customer demands and operates to stringent high quality standards.
With over 50 years tea industry experience, every aspect of the packaging process is handled in house, even down to the maintenance of the sophisticated machinery.

Due to consumer demand and the expansion of products within this industry; we require a new skilled production engineer to compliment their existing engineering team and provide additional expertise for the increasing demand on IMA packaging machinery and all production facilities.

The role of the Production Engineer is to ensure the production line is properly maintained, running at its optimum efficiency and mechanical or electrical breakdowns are dealt with swiftly with the minimum of impact to daily yields.

Your experience must include a mechanical production environment using IMA C24/C27; stripping down machinery or productions lines, fault diagnosis and providing essential maintenance in & outside of factory hours. Sound communication skills for working with/advising the engineering team is essential.

Good working knowledge and qualifications to support electrical & mechanical practice will be required. Experience in a tool shop and an inventive aptitude to solving problems is highly desirable. A flexible attitude and being able to work under pressure is a key requirement.
